到波圖遊玩, 一定要試試這道波圖名菜 Francesinha - 在葡萄牙語意思是 "法國小女孩" 。 這個源自於波圖的美味三文治, 據說是在1960年代, 由一個曾經移民法國的葡裔回流男士最先發明。

When you're in Porto, try this famous dish "Francesinha" - meaning "Little French girl" in Portuguese. It's a great Portuguese sandwich originally from Porto. It's said this is an invention of a returned emigrant from France in the 1960s.

Francesinha 的主要材料是麵包, 火煺, linguiça (一種煙熏豬肉香腸), 鮮肉腸chipolata, 牛肉 / 烤肉, 奶酪 ( = 芝士), 覆蓋以融化的奶酪, 和秘製的濃厚醬汁; 配以炸薯條。 每間餐廳的醬汁都有其秘方, 最基本是使用啤酒和番茄製作, 再做出不同程度的的辣味。

The main ingredients of a francesinha are: bread, ham, linguiça ( = smoke cured pork sausage), fresh sausage (chipolata), steak or roast meat, covered with melted cheese and a hot thick tomato and beer sauce served with french fries. The sauce is a big secret! Each restaurant has its own variation. The common ingredient is beer. Mostly, sauces are tomato based and vary in different degree of spiciness.

除了首都里斯本, 不少人也會取道第二大城市波圖進入葡萄牙。波圖的國際機場 (Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, OPO) 是葡萄牙第二大機場, 已經連續很多年, 被國際機場協會 (Airports Council International, 簡稱 ACI), 評選為三大歐洲最佳機場。

Besides Lisbon's Portela International Airport, many other travellers would choose to enter Portugal through Porto International Airport. Porto International Airport has for many years been distinguished as one of the three “Best European Airports” by ACI (Airports Council International).

《 The Airport (機場) 》

波圖國際機場 (OPO) (Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport / Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro)

機場距離市中心大約17公里, 有地鐵連接市中心; 另外也可以乘計程車或駕車。 以我自己的經驗, 乘坐地鐵是來往機場和市中心最直接又便宜的途徑。

機場裡設施完善, 在入境大堂層 (地下) 和離境大堂層 (一及二樓) 均有餐廳、小吃店 (包括一間 Burger King)、咖啡店; 另外, 機場有免費30分鐘 wifi 服務。

The airport is about 17km from the city centre, and is well connected by metro and taxis. My experience is that the metro is the most direct and economical method travelling between the airport and the city centre.

The airport is equipped with different catering facilities in both the Arrival Hall (Ground Floor) and the Departure Hall (1/F & 2/F): restaurants, cafes (including a Burger King) and snack bars. There is also a free 30-minute wifi service in the airport.

如果住宿是在市中心的酒店和旅館等 (即地鐵站 Trindade 或 Aliados 附近), 搭地鐵是很好的選擇。地鐵紫色線 (E 路線), 由機場去到Estádio do Dragão (譯作: Dragon Stadium, 這個站亦是波圖足球隊的球場), 途中停Trindade 站。 要注意, 這條路線一般每20-30分鐘一班車, 來往兩目的地要大約33分鐘, 所以要準備充足時間。

The metro would be the best transportation if the booked accommodation is at a hotel/hostel etc in the city centre (therefore near the stations of Trindade or Aliados). Metro Line E (Violet Line) goes between the airport and Estádio do Dragão (Dargon Stadium, this is also where the Porto Football Stadium is located). Be reminded that metro cars on this line are run every 20-30 minutes, and the whole journey takes approximately 33 minutes.

在1917年, 聖母先後在葡萄牙花地瑪顯現共六次, 其中在第六次, 亦是這一系列的最後一次顯現時, 更有七萬多人在場見證。 第二天, 當地報紙大幅報導這個聖蹟。 自此, 世界各地的天主教教徒和旅客都蜂擁而來花地瑪朝聖。

Virgin Mary "appeared" in Fátima six times in 1917. In her sixth and the last apparition, on October 13 1917, more than 70,000 people witnessed her appearance. The next day, the news was widely reported by local newspapers. Since then, Fátima has become a place of pilgrimage. Thousands of pilgrims and visitors alike flock to Fátima for visits every year.

在聖母第六次顯現時, 她曾說出 "我是玫塊聖母, 我希望在此建造一座教堂, 而眾人應每天均背誦玫瑰經"。 因此之後, 民眾積極爭取在同址興建教堂以作紀念。首先, 是在聖母向三位牧羊小童顯現之處建造 「小禮拜堂」"The Chapel of the Apparitions", 跟著就是修建 「花地瑪聖母宗座聖殿」和一排相連的弧形拱門走廊。

In the sixth apparition, Virgin Mary said, "I am the Lady of the Rosary, I desire here a chapel in my honor to be built, that people continue to recite the Rosary every day". Following these was religious constructions that people demanded for. First was the construction of the Chapel of the Apparitions, then followed by the construction of the basilica and colonnade of Fátima.

大家如果想去花地瑪朝聖的話, 有一點重要事項要留意, 就是, 「花地瑪聖母宗座聖殿」因整修而需暫時停止開放。工程已於2014年5月14日開始展開, 預計要到2015年年尾完成。

If you are planning for a pilgrimage tour to Fátima, you may want to know an important thing, which is, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima is currently closed for repair and restoration works, which has already started on May 14 2014, and will continue in principle until the end of 2015.

在葡萄牙國內, 有一個非常有名的人骨教堂, 正確點說, 是一所人骨禮拜堂 – Capela dos Ossos / The Bone Chapel。

人骨禮拜堂位於艾羅拉市 (Évora)。 早在1986年, 被中世紀城牆所包圍的艾羅拉舊城區, 就已被聯合國教科文組織列為世界遺址。

聖方濟各教堂(Igreja de São Francisco) 正門入口處。教堂建於1460-1510年間, 是一哥德式建築, 並浸進獨特的葡萄牙Maueline建築風格。

In Portugal, there is a very well-known bone chapel. In Portuguese, Bone Chapel is called "Capela dos Ossos" (Chapel of Bones).

The Capela dos Ossos is located in Évora. Its well-preserved old town centre - partially enclosed by medieval walls - has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986.

  
 人骨禮拜堂位於聖方濟各教堂 (Igreja deSão Francisco) 右側, 走過幽靜的長廊就到達。之所以稱為人骨禮拜堂, 是因為這個禮拜堂內部的四壁和支柱是由5000多具人骨組成! 牆壁和支柱用死人的腿骨砌成, 間中以頭髏骨鑲嵌做裝飾; 而天花皆是畫並以頭髏骨作鑲邊。

The Capela dos Ossos is a small interior chapel situated just next to the entrance of the Church of St. Francis (Igreja deSão Francisco). It gets its name because the interior walls are covered and decorated with about 5,000 human skulls and bones. The walls and central pillars are covered with human skulls and other parts of skeletons, held together by cement.

禮拜堂入口處上方的碑文寫著 “ Nós ossos que aqui estamos, pelos vossos esperamos.” (“我們的骨骸在這裡, 正等待著你的骨骸”)! 夠嚇人了嗎?
On top of the large arch at the entrance of the Chapel reads: Nós ossos que aqui estamos, pelos vossos esperamos: "Our bones that are here wait for yours!" Scary, right?

不知各位可知道, 葡萄牙都有鬥牛比賽? 在首都里斯本, 就有一座建造宏偉的鬥牛場 (葡萄牙文: Praça de Touros do Campo Pequeno)。

Do you know that there are bullfights held in Portugal too? Located in Campo Pequeno of Lisbon, there is a grand bullring structure (Praça de Touros do Campo Pequeno).

建於1890年, 只用了兩年時間就建成的這座鬥牛場, 建築是北非摩爾風格 (葡萄牙跟西班牙都曾被北非摩爾人所統治), 整個外牆都用橙色磚所建, 顏色奪目。每年從復活節到夏天, 都不定期舉行鬥牛表演; 其餘時間, 場地作為大型音樂演唱會和其他表演之用。

Built in 1890, the bullring completed construction in just two years. The imposing orange brick structure is strongly influenced by North African Moorish design (Both Portugal and Spain were once under the rule of the Moors from North Africa). Every year from the Easter to the summer, there are bullfights. During the rest of the year, it is occasionally used for live concerts and other performances.

值得一提的是, 有別於西班牙的鬥牛比賽, 在葡萄牙, 鬥牛在比賽中和完結時, 是不會被殺的, 這是從國王 King Dom Miguel I (1828-1834) 以來傳下的傳統。

One thing which worths mentioning is that there is at least one difference between the Portuguese bullfighting and the Spanish bullfighting. In Portuguese bullfights, the bull is enraged, but it is not killed in the ring during and at the end of the show. This has been a tradition since the time of the King Dom Miguel I of Portugal (1828-1834).
